Organized by the
Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston, in conjunction with the Carlos Museum, Lost Kingdoms
of the Nile features some of the most significant archaeological
treasures ever found in Africa. This monumental exhibition, consisting of
over 250 objects in gold, silver, bronze, ivory, stone, and ceramic, ranging

overshadowed by ancient Egypt. The exhibition highlights not only some of
the finest artworks ever found in ancient Africa, but also the remarkable
stories of their discovery by the intrepid archaeologists who were part of

The Complexity of
Emergencies: Responding Through Art
This
exhibit examines the visual art projects of three not-for-profit
organizations working with children affected by emergencies, both in the
United States and abroad. The exhibit highlights the work of The Art Reach
Foundation with teachers and children in Bosnia, America’s Camp with
children impacted by the 9-11 terrorism attack, and the Community
Initiatives Foundation with children displaced by Hurricane Katrina. The
work of the organizations examined in this exhibit suggests that art-making
can be used as an innovative public health tool wherever an emergency or
disaster takes place.

From Polar Bears to Penguins
Journey from one end of our globe to the other to explore the
fascinating (and cold!) worlds of the Arctic and Antarctic. Visitors will

through the Antarctic winter; track icebergs and pack ice; and listen to the
stories of polar explorers. Ends of the Earth explores the uniqueness of the
