At the DeKalb Tourism Academy, learn about the exciting attractions and amenities located in our county. This free program sponsored by DeKalb Convention & Visitors Bureau, is designed to teach participants about DeKalb County’s diverse assets. The three-part course offers a wealth of resources for hospitality employees, meeting planners, real estate agents, newcomers/residents of DeKalb County and anyone who enjoys being a tour guide for visitors.
The international award-winning DeKalb Tourism Academy was initiated in 1999 as a tourism certification program to promote DeKalb County’s assets. Since its inception, more than
1,000 Certified Tourism Assets Specialists (CTAS) have graduated from the Academy.
The Academy also offers the motivating and energizing “Keep
Them Coming Back” customer service class. Come learn the
strategies to provide legendary service and the pathways to
customer satisfaction.
